This typical design of barn will fit well into any rural scene. You can really give a farm scene some character. Barns have many uses, often for storing harvested crops, such as hay or straw, or for housing animals. Modern farms tend to have metal-clad barns and grain silos of considerable size, but many older barns remain in service performing new functions such as providing shelter for machinery.
